Grammar

Twisspraak is a SVO, V2 language. As to noun phrases, it is generally left-branching, but not with relative clauses.

Nouns don't decline for case. The plural of nouns is made with the suffix "en" (the previous consonant is doubled in some cases) or "n".

Adjectives don't decline for case or number. They end either with a schwa (the previous consonant is doubled in some cases) or a long vowel.

Personal pronouns have the nominative, the objective and the genitive case. Other pronouns, as "dies" and "al", don't decline for case or number.

Verbs don't inflect for person or number. The infinitive form ends either with a schwa (the previous consonant is doubled in some cases) or a long vowel. The infinitive form may be preceded by the preposition "tu", depending on the preceding verb.

An object may be marked by a preposition or unmarked. When a verb has two unmarked objects, the first one is indirect.

The cohortative mood is marked by the construction "laat us" + infinitive verb. The optative mood is marked by the construction "mog" + subject + infinitive verb.
